The Water Project

Students in Positive Psychology and Publications Workshop combined together to generate awareness for the global issue of water conservation. For three days, students in the Positive Psychology class carried around with them their daily supply of water. The water needed to be used for drinking, cooking, bathing, and washing. They recorded vlog-style videos of themselves trying to do the tasks while conserving the water they had. Students in the Publications Workshop class had set up times to meet and record the Positive Psychology students pre-experiment thoughts as well as their reactions following the experiment. They scripted the research and generated the documentary utilizing their own shots combined with the vlog videos they received. The end result is a documentary titled "The Water Project" which takes the viewer into the topics and research of water conservation and into a small experiment designed to raise awareness on the troubles and hardships many face.
